Nerida of Malvern

Nerida recently completed the Glow Group Weight Loss 8 Week Program called Flab2Fab.

Here's her story;

The smell of fresh bread met me as I walked  up the stairs, then plates of chocolate a boiling urn, drinks and other snacks were laid out on a table at the back of the room,  'must be our last feast before we start the Flab to Fab course', I thought, 'deprivation here I come'.

Not so. All these foods were available to taste, try and buy.  They were low GI substitute sugars and appropriate fat plus a recipe book to get started. We could munch away as we learnt about the thyroid and adrenal glands role in regulating the body, the best type of physical activity, stress, flower essences. Every question I had about going without one of my favourite foods Lisa had an alternative substitute or solution.

We weighed, measured, learnt about fat, fluid balance and cellular health and muscle tone all in a supportive environment that enabled learning about a new way of weight loss .
It added to my health, I almost reached my program goal weight (65k) dropped from 73kg to 65.8kg.  A couple of months later I vary by about a kilo but seem to be maintaining the weight.

I'm now ready to get to the overall weight recommended for my frame and drop another 6 kilos. An excuse to stay on eating Low GI with plenty of yummy coconut milk, almond paste, and linseed, with no bloating,  headaches or lower back pain.
